Description

We are looking to add an experienced Periodontal Dental Assistant to our talented specialty team at Colorado Periodontal Group. This full-time, 4-day-per-week, position offers variety in your week as you travel between our locations in the Denver Metro area and down to Colorado Springs on occasion. What you would do on a daily basis:
  • Support our Periodontist chairside with periodontal therapies and surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with others to achieve team success
  • Provide a distinctive patient experience by delivering top-notch care and education to ensure the patient feels comfortable at all times
  • Review patient charts in Denticon before doctor arrival, document appropriate patient information and health history during the exam and treatment
  • Ensure all consent forms are completed prior to treatment
  • Capture high-quality radiographs/intra-oral photos/CT scans
  • Clean, sterilize, and prepare the equipment and operatory before and after each appointment
  • Track inventory and order dental supplies as needed
  • Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance, follow safety policies and procedures through OSHA compliance and BBP (Blood-borne Pathogens)
  • Assist the business administration team in scheduling patients and making post-operative calls when needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience assisting chairside in Periodontic and Surgical procedures
  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Current radiography certification
  • Current CPR- BLS Certification
