Discovery Kids Pediatric Dentistry, located in Colorado Springs, is growing and adding an experienced EDDA Dental Assistant to our patient-centric team. This is a full-time position, working 4 to 5 days per week, offering opportunities for growth and development along with a lot of variety - you won't be bored!

At Discovery Kids Pediatric Dentistry of Colorado Springs, we specialize in providing children with the best care. We aim to ensure they have an excellent foundation for a lifetime of dental health. We are a pediatric dental practice working with children from infancy through college and providing a caring, welcoming and fun environment where they will enjoy every visit!

Office Hours:
  • Monday-Thursday 8 am to 5 pm
  • Friday- 8 am to 1 pm

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Utilize electronic dental records and digital radiography
  • Prepares treatment rooms by stocking, breaking down, setting up, and sterilizing
  • Prepares treatment plans
  • Checking patients in
  • Screening patient forms, including health history
  • Assists in dental emergencies in the clinic by preparing the treatment room and ensuring accessibility of instruments, equipment, and materials during procedures. Anticipates instruments needed by dentists throughout the procedure and provides timely access to instruments.
  • Actively participates in morning huddles and team meetings
  • Monitors dental supply inventory and communicates needs to supply and equipment manager

  • Willingness to learn and take feedback
  • Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant certification program
  • 1 or more years as a Dental Assistant
  • Pediatrics experience preferred
  • Denticon experience is a plus but not required (full training provided)
  • CPR and basic life support (BLS) Certification
  • X-Ray certification
